UNFOLD 案例簡介
為了分析如何讓辦公室成為生活品牌這個議題, 我們以現代全新的辦公型態作為出發點,發展出UNFOLD 這家包裝品設計公司的企業總部。
我們將現在常見的功能需求納入空間規劃, 並設置出固定及非固定座位區和多元的開放會議空間, 進而打造出ABW (活動式工作)的工作型態。
"Unfold" 一詞不只有將折起的紙張攤開的意涵,  更代表著展開/發展, 於是空間動線上我們規劃了許多有趣的角落讓使用者自行發掘。
設計元素我們取自包裝品的折面和邊角, 讓許多富有建築性的裝置在空間中展開(Unfold)。


UNFOLD Case Study
In order to study the subject of workspace as a brand, we developed a corporate headquarter for “UNFOLD”, a package design company. We incorporated many common functions and needs of a modern office into the design, and arranged both assigned and booking workstations for the space, as well as variety of different meeting areas. The word UNFOLD doesn’t just mean opening a piece of paper, it also means reveal and discover. We take that spirit into our account and designed many architectural features and fun nooks that unfolds within the space.




UNFOLD as a Brand

設計上我們希望以UNFOLD的五大業核心精神作為設計的出發點, 以及每個空間功能性的設計主軸。
UNFOLD企業核心精神為:
交流  /  創新  /  可塑性  /  包容力  /  多元

In terms of design we aimed to use the core values of UNFOLD as the main elements as well as the main functions of the office.
UNFOLD Core Values:
Communicative  /  Innovating  /  Adaptable  /  Inclusive  /  Diverse

傳統的辦公室平面配置往往會將主管辦公室及會議室放置在窗邊 , 員工工作站較為 靠近建築核心 ( 公設 )。
這樣的傳統配置雖然較為節省不必要的畸零空間 , 動線上也會顯得較為簡單和直接。但這樣的動線對於 UNFOLD 的工作型態並沒有太大的幫助 , 已無法有效的展 現出UNFOLD 的企業核心精神。

Traditional office layout would place the manager’s offices along the window, and staff’s workstations towards the core of the building. A layout like this would avoid unused space and the route for users would be more direct and simple. But this layout does not reflect the core values and brand image of UNFOLD.
若我們以生活品牌為出發點重新規劃平面 配置 , 將窗邊的位置留給員工工作站和休憩區 , 進而促使大量的自然光可以照進整個空間。
由於我們將一些空間的配置方式轉了 一點角度 , 這樣的配置會促成較為有趣的動線 , 並利用畸零空間放置休憩座位和非正式會議空間 , 大幅的增加了員工之間的互動和交流 , 進而將 UNFOLD 的核心精神發揮的淋漓盡致。

Therefore, we took the brand image of UNFOLD as a lifestyle brand into account, and redesigned the office layout. We placed the workstations and breakout areas along the window for maximum natural light. We placed the walls diagonally to create more interesting pathways, moreover creating much more interactions among staffs, which reflects the brand perfectly.

ABW: (Activity-based Working)

這樣符合生活品牌的平面配置正好可以套用ABW這個新型態的工作模式。
ABW (Activity-based Working/ 活動式工作模式) 是一種企業的轉型策略,
意指辦公環境中員工可以依照自己的工作需求和型態來選擇不同的辦公空間。

A layout like this that reflects the UNFOLD lifestyle brand would be best to apply the working pattern of ABW (Activity-based Working).
An ABW workspace is an environment that the users can choose where to work within the space based on their job requirements.

有如在日常生活中, 我們會去餐廳吃飯, 去咖啡廳喝咖啡, 在住家中會去客廳看電視, 前往房間就寢
同樣的在生活品牌的辦公環境中使用者可以因為不同的工作需求, 選擇自己的工作環境及位置。

Much like in our life, we would go to a restaurant to eat, go to a café to have coffee, and at home we would go to the living room to watch TV and go to the bedroom to sleep. A workspace is the extension of our lives. We should be able to choose where we want(need) to work based on our tasks at hand.
